Playoff Game #2 - Lions Pounce on Hays: 60-36

The Lions’ Den offense had too many weapons for the Rebels defense to contain which resulted in 450 total yards. The Lions’ defense stepped up to burn one of the top quarterbacks in central texas by coming up with two big interceptions that resulted in fourteen points and making key stops defensively throughout the game. The Leander Lions now move on to round three - Regional Playoff against the Corpus Christi Flour Bluff Hornets on Saturday evening, 7:30p.m., at Heroes Stadium, in San Antonio. We need all Lion Backers to show up “loud and proud” to support the Lions against a 12-0 Flour Bluff team. See you at the game! GO LIONS!!! Regional Playoff Tickets
The Leander High School Football team is on to the third game or Regional Round of the playoffs! Our Lions will be playing the Flour Bluff Hornets at Heroes Stadium, 4799 Thousand Oaks Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78233 on Saturday, December 1st at 7:30PM. Leander is the Home team. The Front Office will be selling adult and student tickets this Thursday and Friday - $8 for Adults and $4 for Students. No charge for parking. Come out and support the Leander Lions !!! Senior "Then and Now" Photos Just an early reminder to start looking for photos of YOUR senior football player for the "Then and Now" slide show to be held during the End-of-Season banquet. This is always a favorite part of the night and we don't want any senior left out. This year we will use 3 photos: Your favorite baby/toddler photo (1-7 years), your favorite adolescent/teenager photo (8-15), and finally, we will provide their 2012 Football photo that was taken on media day. Later on in the season, we will provide information on who to email your photos to.

The Leander Lions came out “firing on all cylinders” on both sides of the ball…offensively and
defensively in an area round playoff game Saturday afternoon against the Hays Consolidated Rebels.
When the smoke cleared the Lions scored 60 points against a very athletic Hays Rebels’ 36 points.
Forty-six of those points were scored by the Lions’ offense and fourteen of them came from two pick-
sixes from the Lion defense.
